The collection includes some of the most storied luxury properties on earth: The Ritz Paris, Badrutt's Palace in St. Moritz, and hundreds of other independently owned ultra-premium hotels that never show up on your typical points chart.

Yes, the transfer ratio is 4:1 - meaning four Amex points become one LHW point. That sounds punishing until you consider two things. First, these are properties where cash rates can exceed $1,500 a night, so even at 4:1, the math can absolutely work in your favor. Second, Amex is currently running a 30% transfer bonus to British Airways, Iberia, and Aer Lingus Avios through September 27 - and if you're thinking about stacking bonuses across programs, now is the time to audit where your Membership Rewards balance is going.

This one genuinely snuck up on me. Citi ThankYou Rewards is running a 20% transfer bonus to Air France KLM Flying Blue, and it closes this Saturday, August 22. Flying Blue is one of the more dynamic frequent flyer programs out there, with monthly promo awards that can drop redemption rates by 25-50% on specific routes. The strategic question is which Avios bucket to send points to. British Airways Avios are the most flexible for US-based travelers given BA's extensive partner network, but Iberia Avios often price transatlantic business class at significantly lower rates on the same routes.
