Something quietly landed in the business card world this week that deserves your attention. Capital One just unveiled the Venture Business card - and the timing relative to some expiring transfer bonuses makes today a genuinely interesting day to think about your points strategy.

Capital One just opened applications for the Venture Business card - a brand-new business card that earns unlimited 2x miles on every purchase, with a welcome offer of 100,000 bonus miles after meeting the spending requirement.

Most business cards want you to chase category bonuses - 3x on dining, 4x on office supplies, and so on. The Venture Business goes flat-rate instead, which makes it genuinely useful for businesses with varied spending that doesn't fit neatly into bonus categories. And Capital One miles transfer to a solid roster of airline partners including Air Canada Aeroplan, Turkish Airlines, and Air France/KLM Flying Blue.

The annual fee is modest, and 100,000 miles is a strong opening offer for a new card. If you've been looking for a simple, high-earning business card that doesn't require a spreadsheet to optimize, this one is worth a look.

Copa Airlines just expanded its Panama Stopover program from 7 days to 15 days - meaning passengers connecting through Panama City's Tocumen International Airport can now spend up to two full weeks exploring Panama at no additional airfare cost.

If you're already routing through Panama City on the way to South America or the Caribbean, this is essentially a free bonus destination baked into your existing ticket. Copa will let you pause the journey, explore Panama City, the canal, Bocas del Toro, or the Azuero Peninsula, and then continue to your final destination - all on the same original fare.

Meanwhile, the St. Regis London is also inching toward its debut - a significant addition for Marriott Bonvoy members in Europe. The St. Regis brand sits at the top of the Marriott portfolio, and London has been a notable gap for the chain at that tier.

The Rove Miles to Turkish Airlines Miles & Smiles 50% bonus also expires June 30.

Two buy-points offers are running right now and both expire within the next 10 days. United MileagePlus is offering a 100% bonus at 1.88 cents per mile, ending Wednesday June 24. Marriott Bonvoy is offering a 40% bonus at 0.89 cents per point, ending Tuesday June 23.

The United deal is the more interesting of the two - 100% bonus means you're effectively paying 0.94 cents per mile, which is well below the program's average redemption value for transatlantic business class and Star Alliance partner bookings.
