Hyatt Vivid Cancun is now open - and it's a genuinely rare thing in the points world: an adults-only all-inclusive where your award night covers not just the room, but most of the food, drinks, and activities during your stay.

That's a big deal. Most hotel points programs make you pay cash for food and drinks even on award stays. At an all-inclusive, the per-night value of your World of Hyatt redemption jumps considerably when meals, cocktails, and entertainment are bundled in.

Alaska Airlines just announced two new European routes launching summer 2027 - nonstop flights from Seattle to Athens, Greece, and Paris, France. This is a meaningful expansion for Alaska's hub strategy, which has been quietly building international reach over the past couple of years.

For Alaska Mileage Plan members, this is noteworthy. Alaska's award chart has some genuine sweet spots - particularly for oneworld partners and routes that other programs price higher. Adding direct European flying from Seattle means more opportunities for award bookings using Mileage Plan miles rather than relying on partners.

These routes don't go live until 2027, so there's no booking pressure today. The play is simple: buy the gift cards now, use them on future stays. Not applicable for everyone, but for those who frequent Best Western for business travel or road trips where options are limited, it's worth logging in and grabbing a few before September 2.

The answer is: Norwegian Cruise Line voyages. JetBlue TrueBlue has a partnership with Norwegian Cruise Line that lets you redeem TrueBlue points toward cruise bookings - making it one of the more unexpected uses of an airline loyalty currency. Not a typical redemption, but it's there for cruise fans looking to use up a TrueBlue balance.
