Tuesday is about to be a bloodbath for deal hunters - and most people have no idea it's coming.
The end of June also marks the end of Q2, and that double expiry is wiping out more than 40 deals simultaneously - including seven separate transfer bonuses. Some of these are genuinely worth acting on before midnight Tuesday. Let's get into it.
🤓 Miles & Points Trivia
The Chase Sapphire Reserve has a $795 annual fee - but it comes loaded with credits and perks designed to offset it. Which of the following is NOT currently a benefit of the Chase Sapphire Reserve?
🏨 Up to $300 annual travel credit
🍽️ Up to $250 annual dining credit at Resy restaurants
💺 Priority Pass lounge access for authorized users
🎬 Annual streaming service credit

🚨 7 Transfer Bonuses Die This Tuesday - Here's Which Ones Matter
Tuesday June 30 is the end of the month AND the end of Q2, which means an unusually brutal cull of expiring offers. Seven transfer bonuses disappear in two days, so let me cut to the ones that are actually worth your attention.
The two that stand out most are Chase Ultimate Rewards to Marriott Bonvoy at a 55% bonus, and Amex Membership Rewards to Air France KLM Flying Blue at a 25% bonus. The Chase-to-Marriott deal is rare - a 55% top-up on your UR points before they land in Bonvoy is the kind of bump that can turn a good redemption into a great one.
Also expiring Tuesday: Citi ThankYou to Qatar Privilege Club Avios at 30%, Marriott Bonvoy to United MileagePlus at 25%, and Rove Miles to Turkish Airlines Miles and Smiles at 50%. That last one is niche, but if you fly Turkish or want to book Star Alliance awards through them, it's a serious mover.
And don't forget Amex to Marriott at 20% - that one also dies Tuesday if you want to top up your Bonvoy balance before a hotel stay.
Quick action item: If you've been sitting on a pile of transferable points and have a specific redemption in mind, this Tuesday deadline is the forcing function. Check all currently live transfer bonuses before you move anything.
There's also one bonus that outlasts Tuesday and deserves serious attention: Amex Membership Rewards to Virgin Atlantic Flying Club at 30%, running through July 31. Virgin Atlantic points are genuinely one of the best tools for booking Delta One business class to Europe - and Award Travel Finder has been spotting Delta One availability to Europe from around 50k Virgin points this season. Worth keeping on your radar even after Tuesday's purge.
Seven transfer bonuses expire Tuesday June 30. That's not a normal week - that's a quarterly reset. Move points intentionally, not reactively.
Check the full live list of transfer bonuses before you move anything - some of these pairings have caps or minimums worth knowing.
🚨 Deal Alert: Buy Aeroplan Points at 30% Off - Ends Tuesday
Alongside the transfer bonus wave, Air Canada is selling Aeroplan points at a 30% discount - and that offer also dies this Tuesday, June 30. Aeroplan is one of the most versatile Star Alliance currencies out there, and 30% off is a meaningful discount if you have a redemption lined up.
If you're not sure whether buying makes sense versus transferring from a card, run the numbers on our buy points promotions tracker before Tuesday.
💳 30 Chase Sapphire Reserve Benefits Most Cardmembers Are Ignoring
The Chase Sapphire Reserve carries a $795 annual fee, and the reaction most people have when they hear that number is understandable. But the card's real value depends almost entirely on whether you know how the credits and perks actually stack - and most cardholders, even long-tenured ones, are leaving money on the table.
Credits That Don't Stack Themselves
The $300 travel credit is the obvious one and most people use it. But there are subtler benefits that regularly go unclaimed: the fine print around authorized user lounge access, the specific booking window requirements for trip delay protection to kick in, and the nuanced rules around what counts as a travel purchase for the credit. Missing these isn't a moral failing - it's just that Chase doesn't exactly put them in a spotlight.
There's a strong case for the card if you use lounges, book travel through Chase, and lean on the transfer partners. If you're on the fence about whether the $795 fee is worth it, we built a dedicated page for exactly this question: Is the Chase Sapphire Reserve Worth It?
✈️ American Airlines Cabin Retrofits Are Actually Happening
Some genuinely good news out of the airline world this week: American Airlines is making real progress on its A319 and A320 interior retrofit program. These are some of the oldest planes in the fleet, and the updates include refreshed cabins - a meaningful upgrade for passengers who've been drawing the short straw on domestic routes.
This isn't a points story directly, but it matters for anyone using AAdvantage miles on domestic redemptions. A better hard product on short-haul routes makes those award bookings more compelling, especially as American continues to compete with Delta and United on the domestic experience. If you fly American regularly and want to check which aircraft is assigned to your route, FlightSeatmap is worth a quick look before you book.
Also in the airline roundup: Delta is adding more service at Austin (AUS), which is good news for Texas-based readers looking to expand their award routing options. More Delta service to an airport means more SkyMiles redemption opportunities and potentially more partner award availability through the AUS hub.
🏨 This Nordic Hotel Brand Includes Dinner - Not Just Breakfast
Traveling through Scandinavia or the Nordic countries is extraordinary - and extraordinarily expensive. A dinner for two can easily run $100 or more without drinks. So when a hotel brand includes not just breakfast but also dinner with every stay, that's genuinely worth flagging.
Home Hotels, a Nordic brand, builds both breakfast and dinner into the rate - plus afternoon coffee. For anyone planning a summer or fall trip through the region, this kind of all-in pricing dramatically changes the cost math. Instead of budgeting $300-400 per day for food in addition to accommodation, you're looking at a much more contained number.
This is exactly the kind of deal where it's worth comparing the points cost against just paying cash. Not everything should be an award booking - if the cash rate is reasonable and meals are included, sometimes paying makes more sense. Friday Flight Deals covers cash fare angles like this every week if you want that side of the equation too.
✈️ An Amex Centurion Lounge Is Closing - Here's the One to Watch
Another Centurion Lounge is shutting its doors. The network has been going through a complicated stretch - some locations have opened to fanfare while others quietly close or get capacity-capped to the point of uselessness. The closing isn't good news for Amex Platinum holders who've come to rely on Centurion access as a core part of the card's value proposition.
If you're an Amex cardholder wondering whether the Platinum's lounge benefits still hold up given closures and the guest fee changes, that's a real calculation worth running. The lounge access picture across all major programs is tracked at Airport Lounge List if you want to map out your options at a specific airport before your next trip.
🌎 Trivia Reveal
The answer is: Annual streaming service credit.
The Chase Sapphire Reserve does NOT include a streaming credit. Its main credits are the $300 travel credit, a dining credit tied to Resy bookings, and Priority Pass lounge access - including for authorized users, which is one of the more underappreciated perks. No streaming credit lives here - that's more of an Amex Platinum flavor.
💬 Quick Question
With seven transfer bonuses dying on Tuesday - which program are you transferring to before the deadline? Or are you sitting this one out? Hit reply and let me know - I read every response and I'm genuinely curious whether the Chase-to-Marriott 55% bonus is moving the needle for people.
The end of Q2 always shakes something loose. See you tomorrow with whatever the first day of Q3 brings.
