Here's the deal: Air France-KLM Flying Blue has been running a paid status match promotion for a while, but the US and Canada version disappears at the end of tomorrow, Saturday June 13. After that, the offer is expected to stay live in other markets - just not ours.

For $199, you can match into Flying Blue Gold status. And here's why that's genuinely interesting for Delta flyers: Flying Blue Gold comes with real SkyTeam Elite Plus benefits, which translate directly onto Delta flights. We're talking free checked bags, priority boarding, and exit-row seat access - on Delta metal.

If you're traveling with family and checking bags, the math works fast. A family of three checking bags on a single round-trip Delta flight could easily recover the $199 cost right there. And the status lasts through the end of 2026, giving you multiple trips to extract value.

The application takes only a few minutes. You'll need to show existing status with another airline (or in some cases meet other criteria) - check the Flying Blue site directly for current eligibility terms before applying. But if you qualify, this is one of those rare paid status offers that actually pencils out.

We've covered the Chase Sapphire Reserve 150K bonus a few times this week because it genuinely deserves the attention. The offer expires June 15 - this Sunday - and 150,000 Ultimate Rewards points is a number that doesn't come around often on this card.

To put it in perspective: 150K Chase points transfers to programs like Hyatt, United, British Airways, and others. Used well, that's a business class flight to Europe or a week of free nights at a top Hyatt property. The card carries a $795 annual fee, but between the travel credit, lounge access, and 3x on travel and dining, the math works out for frequent travelers.

If you've been on the fence, Sunday is the hard stop. After that, the bonus will almost certainly drop back down.

American Airlines is currently selling AAdvantage miles at a 40% discount, bringing the cost down to 2.26 cents per mile. This offer ends tomorrow, Saturday June 13 - same day as the Flying Blue status match deadline.

The sweet spots for AAdvantage are well documented: Cathay Pacific First Class, Japan Airlines business class, and partner redemptions that American prices lower than most programs would. If you have a specific redemption in mind and the math works, buying miles at 2.26 cents to redeem at 5-7+ cents of value is a solid move.

Garuda Indonesia's GarudaMiles is also running a 20% bonus on purchased miles at 1.79 cents, expiring tomorrow as well. Garuda is a useful Star Alliance partner for redemptions to Asia and Australia.

United quietly made a meaningful update to its family mileage pooling feature. Previously, pooled miles had some redemption restrictions - but now pooled miles can be used on most United partner airlines. That opens up the feature significantly for families who are combining miles toward a bigger trip.

There are some odd limits worth noting: Hawaiian Airlines and Emirates have specific restrictions within the pooling setup. But for the vast majority of redemptions - Star Alliance partners, United metal, and most codeshares - pooled family miles now work without the old friction.

For families where one person earns more than the others, this makes a real difference. Instead of one account sitting just short of a redemption threshold, you can now pool across the household and get everyone on the same trip.

Something worth stepping back and noticing: Alaska, American, Delta, and Southwest are all running elevated welcome bonuses on their co-branded cards right now. United wrapped up its own increased offer just a few weeks ago. This kind of simultaneous elevation across the major carriers doesn't happen every year.

The conventional wisdom is to jump on these because co-brand bonuses fluctuate - and that's mostly right. But here's the thing to actually ask yourself: do you fly that airline enough to get consistent value from the ongoing benefits, or are you just chasing the sign-up points? The bonus is only the starting point.

If you already know which airline dominates your home airport and you don't have the co-brand card yet, this summer window is genuinely worth paying attention to. If you're flexible and don't have a home airline, a transferable currency card (Chase, Amex, Citi) is usually a better long-term play.

Speaking of transferable currencies - don't forget that the Amex Membership Rewards to Flying Blue transfer bonus is still live at 25% through June 30. Given the Flying Blue status match story above, this is a nice pairing if you're thinking about topping up your Flying Blue balance.

This one's for the planners in the room. The Andaz Turks & Caicos at Grace Bay is now accepting reservations starting June 1, 2027 - making it Hyatt's first property in Turks & Caicos and the first Andaz in the Caribbean.

It's a small property at 59 rooms, and Grace Bay is one of the most sought-after stretches of beach in the world. When this opens, award availability is likely to be limited - so getting a Hyatt Points redemption locked in early is the smarter play than waiting to see how the reviews look.
