☀️ TRENDING MILES & POINTS NEWS
💳 Chase Sapphire Reserve: 150,000-point welcome bonus is still live - the highest offer ever on this card
✈️ Flying Blue: 20% Chase transfer bonus expires Tuesday, May 27 - one of the shortest windows this year
🏨 Hilton Honors: 100% buy-points bonus ends May 29 - double your points at just 0.5 cents each
🚨 Hyatt confirms 2027 pricing overhaul will be more severe than the changes already live today
In Today's Issue:
There's a quiet pile-up happening this week that I think a lot of people are going to miss because of the holiday weekend.
Three separate deadlines are converging before Thursday - a Flying Blue transfer bonus, a Hilton points sale, and a buy-points window for Etihad that actually expires today. Layer on top of that a piece of news from Hyatt that didn't get nearly enough attention when it dropped over the weekend, and you've got a lot of decisions to make before you fire up the grill.
Let's get into it.
🤓 Miles & Points Trivia
Which buy-points sale currently offers the largest percentage bonus - and expires today, May 25?
🇺🇸 United MileagePlus (100% bonus)
🇫🇷 Air France-KLM Flying Blue (80% bonus)
🇦🇪 Etihad Guest (35% discount)
🇧🇷 Copa Airlines ConnectMiles (80% bonus)
The answer is waiting near the bottom. Keep scrolling. 👇

✈️ Flying Blue's 20% Chase Bonus - 48 Hours Left
This is the one I'd move on fastest. Chase Ultimate Rewards is running a 20% transfer bonus to Air France-KLM Flying Blue, and it expires Tuesday, May 27. That's not a lot of runway, especially over a long weekend.
The math here is straightforward: transfer 60,000 Chase points and you land 72,000 Flying Blue miles instead. Flying Blue's dynamic pricing has its quirks, but it remains one of the better programs for booking Delta transatlantic flights - sometimes significantly cheaper than Delta's own SkyMiles pricing.
If you've been sitting on a stash of Chase points and have a Europe trip on the horizon, this window is worth a serious look. Flying Blue miles don't expire as long as you have account activity, so banking extra miles now isn't a waste even if you don't have a trip booked yet.
Award Travel Finder has been tracking solid Flying Blue availability on transatlantic routes this summer if you want to search before you transfer.

🏨 Hyatt's 2027 Warning - The Part Everyone Missed
We covered Hyatt's new five-tier award pricing when it launched, but there's a detail buried in the announcement that deserves its own spotlight: Hyatt has explicitly stated that this year's changes are just the setup.
Some properties already saw award costs jump up to 67% under the new structure. And Hyatt itself confirmed the broader overhaul doesn't fully land until 2027. In other words, the pricing you're seeing today is the friendlier version.
This year's changes are only the setup. The broader damage doesn't hit until next year.
The practical takeaway: if you're holding World of Hyatt points and have a specific property in mind, booking it sooner rather than later is a genuine strategy - not just a cliche. Once those 2027 changes go live, the points required for some top-tier properties could jump again.
Not sure how many points your target Hyatt property is worth under the new tiers? Our Hyatt Points Calculator can help you run the numbers before you commit.

🚨 Deal Alert: Hilton Points at Half a Cent - Ends Thursday
Hilton is running a 100% bonus on purchased points right now, which brings the cost down to 0.5 cents per point. This sale ends May 29 - just four days from today.
Hilton points are rarely worth buying speculatively, but there's a specific scenario where this makes sense: you're close to an award threshold for a property you've already identified and you don't have time to earn the gap organically. At 0.5 cents each, you'd need to get at least that value out of your redemption - which is doable at the right Hilton property, but not guaranteed.
Separately, Amex Membership Rewards is also running a 20% transfer bonus to Hilton through May 30. Transferring Amex points gets you a 20% top-up, which stacks nicely if you're already an Amex cardholder sitting on Membership Rewards.
Both offers expire within days of each other. Worth checking your Hilton balance now to see if either move makes sense for a specific stay.

💳 Capital One Spark Cash Plus - Best-Ever $2,000 Bonus
The Capital One Spark Cash Plus is currently sitting at its best-ever welcome bonus: $2,000 cash back (or potentially more, depending on spend tiers). For a business card, that's a significant number.
The Spark Cash Plus is a charge card, meaning no preset spending limit and no interest charges since balances must be paid in full monthly. The earning rate is 2% back on everything, which keeps the math simple for business owners who don't want to think about bonus categories.
There's also a 5% back on hotels and rental cars booked through Capital One Travel. If your business spends heavily in those categories, the math gets more interesting. This offer has been live for a while but there's no confirmed end date - which usually means it disappears without much warning.
🚨 Deal Alert: Etihad Buy-Points Window Closes Today
If you've been thinking about buying Etihad Guest miles, today is the last day. The current sale offers a 35% discount, bringing the effective cost to around 2.08 cents per mile. The window closes May 24 - which means this is a decision to make this morning.
Etihad's sweet spots include Business Class redemptions on their own metal to Abu Dhabi and connections into Asia and the Maldives. If you have a specific redemption mapped out and the math works, the discount is real. If you're buying speculatively, that's harder to justify at 2 cents per mile.
You can check all current buy-points deals across every program on our buy-points tracker - several other sales run through June, so there's no shortage of options if you miss today's Etihad window.
💰 Citi Offer: $50 Back on JetBlue Spending
Quick one worth flagging for JetBlue flyers: Citi has a targeted offer back through July 31, 2026 - spend $500 with JetBlue and get $50 back. That's effectively a 10% rebate on flights, which stacks nicely on top of whatever points you're earning.
This is a targeted Citi offer, so not everyone will see it in their account. Log into your Citi portal and check the offers section before you book your next JetBlue flight. If it's there, activate it before spending.
JetBlue is also running a 125% bonus on purchased TrueBlue points through June 10 at 1.43 cents per mile - one of the better buy-points deals available right now if you have a specific redemption in mind. The combination of the Citi statement credit and a discounted points purchase could make a JetBlue redemption quite cost-effective this summer.
🌎 Trivia Reveal
The answer is United MileagePlus - with a 100% bonus on purchased miles through June 24, 2026, at 1.88 cents per mile. That's not today's expiry though.
The deal expiring TODAY is the Etihad Guest sale - a 35% discount down to 2.08 cents per mile. Both Air France-KLM Flying Blue and Copa Airlines are tied at 80% bonus, but neither expires today. United's 100% double miles offer runs the longest of any current sale, through June 24.
If you answered Etihad for the "expires today" part, that's the correct read. The question was specifically about what closes on May 25 - and that's Etihad.
💬 Quick Question
Memorial Day weekend is traditionally when people start locking in summer travel. Are you booking with points this summer or paying cash and saving miles for a bigger trip later? Hit reply and tell me your plan - I read every response and it genuinely shapes what I cover next.
Also, if you've already scored a great redemption for this summer, I'd love to hear about it. Route, program, points cost - drop it in and I might feature it.
Enjoy the long weekend. There are a lot of deadlines stacking up before Thursday, so even if you're grilling today, take five minutes to check your Chase and Amex balances and see if the Flying Blue or Hilton transfer bonus moves the needle for you. Those windows don't come back once they're gone.
