Let's get into it.

🤓 Miles & Points Trivia

Which credit card program currently offers a 30% transfer bonus to Virgin Atlantic Flying Club?

  • 🔵 American Express Membership Rewards

  • 🟡 Citi ThankYou Rewards

  • 🟠 Chase Ultimate Rewards

  • 🟤 Bilt Rewards

The answer is waiting near the bottom of today's newsletter... keep scrolling. 👇

✈️ Qatar Just Made It Harder to Book Qsuite for Your Travel Partner

If you've been planning to surprise a partner, family member, or friend with a Qsuite business-class seat using transferred points, Qatar Airways Privilege Club just introduced two new restrictions that could complicate your plans.

The new rules target companion bookings made with transferable credit card points - the kind of redemption that made Qatar's program so appealing in the first place. While the full workarounds still exist, you now need to navigate additional hoops to book Qsuite for anyone who isn't the primary cardholder.

The practical impact: if you're booking solo, you're mostly fine. But if you were counting on Qatar Privilege Club to get two Qsuite seats using, say, Amex or Citi points, review the updated terms carefully before you transfer. Points transferred to Qatar are not refundable.

Worth noting: the Citi ThankYou to Qatar Privilege Club +30% transfer bonus is still live through June 30 - in 7 days. If you're going to transfer, do it before that window closes and make sure you understand the new companion rules first. You can use our Qatar Airways Avios Award Flight Finder to check availability before committing.

💳 Chase Ink Business Preferred: 100,000 Points Is Back

The Chase Ink Business Preferred just brought back its 100,000-point welcome bonus - and for a card with a $95 annual fee, that's a remarkable offer. It's one of the strongest bank card bonuses available right now at any price point.

To earn it, you'll need to spend $8,000 in the first three months. That's a real spend requirement, but if you have a business - or a side hustle - this is worth planning around.

Why These Points Hit Harder Than Most

The 100K Chase Ultimate Rewards points you earn here transfer to a lineup that includes Hyatt, United, Air France-KLM Flying Blue, British Airways, and Singapore Airlines. With the Chase-to-Virgin Atlantic +30% bonus running through July 14, you'd effectively get 130,000 Virgin Points from a single welcome bonus - enough for some seriously aspirational redemptions.

If you've been waiting for the right moment to pick up a Chase business card, this is a strong one. Keep in mind the 5/24 rule applies. Our Chase Points Calculator can help you model out exactly what 100K points gets you.

🏨 Park Hyatt Is Going All-Inclusive - And You Can Book It Now

Something I didn't expect to write this year: Park Hyatt, the brand synonymous with quiet luxury and understated elegance, is getting its first all-inclusive property. The Park Hyatt Riviera Maya will open in Mexico's Riviera Maya in early 2027, about 20 minutes from Cancun International Airport, and it's now accepting reservations for stays from February 15, 2027 onward.

This is a genuinely interesting development. Park Hyatt has historically avoided the all-inclusive model - it doesn't exactly scream "curated luxury" - but the Riviera Maya property signals that Hyatt sees serious demand at the premium end of the all-inclusive market.

What This Means for World of Hyatt Members

The big question is how World of Hyatt points redemptions will work here. All-inclusive Hyatt properties exist in the portfolio (through the Inclusive Collection), but Park Hyatt's positioning at the top of the brand hierarchy means award rates could be steep. No award pricing has been confirmed yet for the Riviera Maya property.

If you're thinking ahead, award space at brand-new luxury properties tends to be tightest right at opening. Award Travel Finder tracks availability across all Hyatt properties - worth setting up an alert once award pricing is announced.

🚨 Deal Alert: Buy United Miles at 1.88¢ With 100% Bonus - Expires Tomorrow

This one has a hard deadline: United's 100% bonus buy miles promotion expires tomorrow, Wednesday June 24. At 1.88 cents per mile with the bonus applied, this is one of the better buy-miles rates United has offered. If you have a specific redemption in mind - particularly for United Polaris business class or Star Alliance partners - it's worth running the numbers today.

Buy points only when you have a specific redemption in mind. Buying speculatively almost always ends in regret.

The Marriott buy points offer (40% bonus at 0.89¢ per point) expires today - if you haven't acted on that one, it's gone after tonight. For everything else that's live right now, our buy points tracker has the full list.

💳 Bilt Adds Preferred Hotels - But the Value Is Situational

Bilt Rewards quietly added Preferred Hotels & Resorts' I Prefer program as a new transfer partner at a 1:2 ratio - meaning 1 Bilt point transfers to 2 I Prefer points. That matches what Capital One, Citi, and Alaska Atmos Summit cardholders already get.

The honest take: this is useful for a niche group of travelers who stay regularly at independent luxury hotels outside the major chains. The 1:2 ratio sounds good on paper, but I Prefer points are generally worth less than Hyatt or Marriott points, so the effective value depends heavily on the specific property and rate.

Where this could shine is if Bilt runs a Rent Day transfer bonus to I Prefer - which would make the math much more compelling. No bonus has been announced yet, but Bilt has a history of sweetening transfers on the first of the month. Worth watching.

⏰ Transfer Bonuses Expiring June 30 - 7 Days Left

A cluster of transfer bonuses all hit the same wall on June 30. That's seven days from today, which sounds like plenty of time - but if you're planning to transfer and then book, you need the points to land in your account before any award availability disappears.

Here's what's expiring: Amex to Flying Blue at +25%, Amex to Marriott at +20%, Chase to Marriott at +55%, Citi to Qatar Privilege Club at +30%, and Marriott to United at +25%. The Chase-to-Marriott bonus at 55% is the standout - it's rare to see that program at that rate. Full details on our transfer bonuses page.

🌎 Trivia Reveal

The answer is: 🟠 Chase Ultimate Rewards - which currently offers a +30% transfer bonus to Virgin Atlantic Flying Club, running through July 14. If you have Chase points sitting idle, that's 21 more days to take advantage. Not a bad deal for anyone eyeing a Virgin Atlantic redemption.

💬 Quick Question

Qatar Qsuite or Hyatt Globalist - if you could only chase one premium redemption this year, which would it be? Hit reply and let me know - I read every single response and genuinely love hearing where you're all trying to get to.

That's it for today. The Qatar companion restriction story is one to watch closely - these kinds of rule changes tend to get tighter over time, not looser. If Qsuite for two was on your radar, don't leave it too long.
