Two things landed in my inbox overnight that are worth acting on today - one is an opportunity that could be worth thousands of dollars in travel, and one is a quiet devaluation that will catch a lot of people off guard. Let's get into it.

Which Citi card tier WILL keep JetBlue as a transfer partner after September 20, 2026?

The Business Platinum Card from American Express is currently showing elevated welcome offers - and some readers are seeing as high as 300,000 Membership Rewards points. That's not a standard public offer. It's variable, meaning not everyone will see the same number, but the floor has moved up significantly from the typical 150K-200K range.

To check what offer you're eligible for, you'll want to use the referral link below and see what populates for your profile. Amex uses targeted eligibility, so the spend requirement attached to the offer will also vary.

At 300,000 Membership Rewards points, you're looking at potential redemptions like multiple round-trip business class flights to Europe or Asia through transfer partners. Amex MR transfers to Virgin Atlantic (currently at a 30% bonus through July 31), Avianca LifeMiles (15% bonus ending this Wednesday), and others - making this an exceptional time to be holding a pile of MR points.

The card carries a $695 annual fee, so this is best suited for business owners who can maximize the $200 airline fee credit, lounge access, and 5x on flights and hotels booked through Amex Travel. But if that's you, the math on 300K points is hard to argue with.

This one flew under the radar over the weekend, but it matters if you're a Citi cardholder with TrueBlue points in your strategy. Citi has announced that cardholders who currently transfer at a 1:0.7 rate to JetBlue - rather than the full 1:1 rate - will lose JetBlue as a transfer option entirely starting September 20, 2026.

Affected cards include no-annual-fee products like the Citi Rewards+ card. If you hold one of these and have been using JetBlue transfers as part of your points strategy, you've got until September 19 to use that pathway. After that, it's gone.

Cards that already transfer at 1:1 - like the Citi Strata Premier - are not affected. The message Citi is sending is clear: the discounted transfer rate wasn't worth maintaining, so they're cutting it rather than upgrading it. If you're currently sitting on Citi ThankYou points and JetBlue is your primary airline, now is the time to audit your balance and decide whether to transfer before the deadline or pivot to another partner.

Speaking of Citi transfer opportunities - the 50% bonus to ALL Accor is still live through this Saturday (July 18). If you have Citi ThankYou points and any interest in Accor hotel stays, that's the most generous Citi transfer offer running right now.

We flagged this Delta One sweet spot back in June, and three weeks later the seats are still there. That's unusual - good business class award space to Europe in summer doesn't typically stick around this long. If you've been on the fence, take that as a signal to move.

Delta is showing wide-open Delta One lie-flat business class to at least 10 European destinations for 115,000 SkyMiles one-way plus just $5.60 in taxes and fees. We're talking about cities like Rome, Paris, Amsterdam, and others - in summer, in a lie-flat seat, for the price of a cup of coffee out of pocket.

If you have Amex Membership Rewards points, those transfer to Delta SkyMiles at 1:1. The 20% Amex-to-Hilton transfer bonus (ending tomorrow, Tuesday July 14) is getting attention, but if Europe business class is your priority, Delta SkyMiles is where MR points deliver outsized value right now.

Here's a travel hack that most people don't know exists. Gary at View From the Wing shared his approach for arriving at Austin airport with kids and luggage and zero desire to haul everything to the rideshare lot - he booked a chauffeur to meet the family at baggage claim, and paid exactly $0 out of pocket.

The strategy: GHA DISCOVERY status comes with a Blacklane benefit - Blacklane is a premium chauffeur service that operates in hundreds of airports worldwide. Stack that with a Citi card credit for the service and you've eliminated the cost entirely. The driver meets you at the bag carousel. No trudging through a parking garage. No waiting in the rideshare lot with tired kids.

GHA DISCOVERY status is achievable through several credit cards and hotel programs. It's one of those benefits that sounds niche but becomes genuinely valuable the moment you have kids, heavy bags, or a redeye landing. Worth knowing about even if you don't use it immediately.

This one deserves its own callout because the deadline is real and close. Chase Ultimate Rewards transfers to Virgin Atlantic Flying Club at a 30% bonus through tomorrow, Tuesday July 14. That means 100,000 Chase points becomes 130,000 Virgin Atlantic miles.

Virgin Atlantic miles are one of the most powerful currencies in the game - they price Delta One awards at a flat rate (often better than Delta's own SkyMiles pricing), and they partner with Air Canada, Singapore Airlines, and others. If you've been accumulating Chase points and have a transatlantic trip in mind, this is the transfer to make.

There's also an Amex MR to Virgin Atlantic bonus at 30% running through July 31 - so if you're not ready to transfer your Chase points yet, the Amex pathway stays open for 18 more days.

A few buy-points offers deserve a quick mention alongside today's stories. British Airways is running a 40% bonus when you buy Avios through this Thursday (July 16) - that's three days away. If you're short on Avios for a specific redemption, this is one of the better opportunities to top up.

Air Canada Aeroplan is offering a 20% discount on purchased miles through tomorrow (Tuesday July 14) - so if you have an Aeroplan redemption in mind, today and tomorrow are your window to buy at a discount rather than full price.

The answer is B - Premium cards that already transfer at 1:1 (like Citi Strata Premier). Citi is removing JetBlue only from the cards that transferred at the discounted 1:0.7 rate.
