This is the one I would not sleep on. Citi ThankYou Rewards is offering a 30% bonus when you transfer to JAL Mileage Bank and a 25% bonus to Avianca LifeMiles - but both offers expire this Saturday, October 24. That is two days from now.

JAL miles are genuinely excellent for booking American Airlines business class to Asia or Europe, often at rates that beat what you would pay with AAdvantage miles directly. Emirates Skywards just launched what they are calling a mile-a-minute promotion: members earn one Skywards mile for every minute they spend in Dubai. It is exactly the kind of outside-the-box thinking that makes loyalty programs interesting when they actually try.

The mechanics here are simple - if you are in Dubai for a layover, a vacation, or a business trip, your time on the ground translates directly into miles. A 10-hour stay in the city would net you 600 Skywards miles. Not a fortune, but a genuinely fun perk that stacks on top of whatever you are already earning from flights and credit cards.

The case for buying Hyatt points is stronger than most hotel programs because Hyatt award nights deliver genuine value at the top end. Category 8 properties can run $500 or more per night in cash, and 35,000-40,000 Hyatt points at 2.08 cents each starts to look reasonable against that. If you are close to topping off for a specific Hyatt award, this is a reasonable time to buy the shortfall. Without a target booking in mind, hold off.

Quick heads-up on the buy points side: Frontier Miles is currently selling points with a 150% bonus, which brings the effective cost per mile down dramatically. This offer expires tomorrow, Friday October 23. Frontier miles have limited use cases, but if you fly Frontier regularly or want to top off for an upcoming award, this is the steepest discount in the current buy points market.

125,000 AAdvantage miles is meaningful. That is enough for a round-trip business class to Europe on American's partners, or significant domestic travel. The warning attached to this is simple: it ends soon, and there is no guarantee this offer level returns after it does.
