Two completely separate stories landed overnight that actually tell the same story: the window for easy, high-value earning is open right now, and most people are sleeping on it.

One is a Chase Paze trick that's been quietly updated with a new wrinkle. The other is a shopping portal bonus on Apple gear that disappears at midnight. And then there's a hotel news item that should prompt every Marriott loyalist to check their upcoming reservations. Let's get into it.

Which Chase card currently earns 10x points when you use Paze checkout at eligible merchants?

If you've been following the Chase Paze 10x promotion, here's a new update worth knowing about today. Some cardholders are now seeing Giftcards.com as a Paze-enabled merchant on mobile - which means the 10x earning rate could apply there too.

To recap the core offer: Chase Sapphire and Freedom cards earn 10x Ultimate Rewards points when you check out with Paze at eligible merchants including United, Shoprite, Dunkin', and now potentially Giftcards.com on mobile. The promotion runs through the end of 2026, but Newegg was removed from the eligible merchant list as of June 30 going forward - so if Newegg was on your list, that window has closed.

Giftcards.com working at 10x is particularly interesting because gift cards can unlock a lot of everyday spend categories where Chase cards otherwise earn just 1-3x. Worth testing if you have a Sapphire or Freedom card in your wallet. The standard caveat applies: confirm Paze is available at checkout before assuming the bonus rate applies.

Today only, shopping portals are offering up to 4x bonus airline miles on Apple purchases. This is one of those promotions that sounds almost too good to be true - earning airline miles on top of your credit card points just for clicking through a portal link before buying Apple gear you were already planning to get.

The key is checking which airline portal is showing the 4x rate for your preferred program before you click through. Rates vary by portal and can change without much notice, so if you're planning any Apple purchases - hardware, accessories, anything in the Apple store - today is the day to stack that shopping portal credit on top of your card earnings.

Quick math on why this matters: a $1,000 MacBook at 4x miles earns 4,000 bonus airline miles just from the portal click. That's on top of whatever your credit card earns. Stack this with a card that earns 2-3x on travel or tech and you're looking at a meaningful haul from a single purchase you'd have made anyway.

This expires at the end of today. Don't let it slip.

Here's one that caught my attention: the W Hotel South Beach, one of the most recognizable Marriott properties in Miami, is closing for renovation in mid-August 2026 - and when it reopens, it will no longer be part of Marriott Bonvoy. That's a big deal.

Right now, you can still book the W South Beach on points through Marriott. Once mid-August hits, that option disappears. If you've been eyeing Miami as a summer or fall destination and have Bonvoy points burning a hole in your account, this is the time to act. Check availability now and book before the property departs the portfolio.

There's also a transfer bonus angle worth flagging here. The Chase to Marriott Bonvoy transfer bonus of 55% is still live through June 30 - just 8 days from today. If you're short on Bonvoy points for a W South Beach stay, this is one of the last chances to top up at a significantly elevated rate before both the bonus and the property's Bonvoy affiliation disappear.

Two days. That's all you have left on United MileagePlus's 100% buy miles bonus, which prices miles at 1.88 cents each. That's not a screaming deal on its own - buying miles rarely is - but the 100% bonus is the thing that changes the math.

If you're close to a redemption threshold on United - say, 10,000 or 20,000 miles short of a business class ticket - buying the gap at 1.88 cents per mile can make sense, especially for premium cabin redemptions where United miles can return well over 2 cents in value. This bonus expires this Wednesday, June 24.

June 30 is shaping up to be one of the busiest transfer bonus deadlines in recent memory. Five separate bonuses all expire the same day, and a couple of them are genuinely worth acting on.

The Chase to Marriott 55% bonus is the headline - it's the highest rate we've seen on that corridor in a long time. The Amex to Flying Blue 25% bonus is also worth noting if you're planning Europe travel on Air France or KLM. And the Citi to Qatar Avios 30% bonus rounds out a strong week for points stackers. On a longer timeline, the Chase to Virgin Atlantic 30% bonus runs through July 14, and Citi to ALL Accor at 50% runs through July 18. Neither of those is urgent this week, but worth putting on your radar if Accor or Virgin redemptions are on your list for summer travel.
