💳 Card News: Chase quietly brings back the best-ever 200,000-point IHG Business card offer - small business owners, pay attention
✈️ Airline Drama: JetBlue pilots filed a lawsuit to stop the United partnership, and it could force a full redesign of the Blue Sky deal
🏨 Hotel Trick: Rove Miles lets you burn points on hotel stays and still earn the hotel's own points and elite night credit - a rare loophole
🚨 TSA Chaos: Trump says ICE agents will work TSA checkpoints starting today - but federal law experts say it's not that simple
Something quietly shifted in the loyalty world this weekend - and it happened across three completely different categories at once. A hotel card bonus that hadn't been seen in over a year just returned. A pilot union threw a legal grenade at one of the most important airline partnerships of 2026. And a points program nobody was watching closely enough turned out to have a trick that makes almost every other hotel redemption look old-fashioned.
Let's get into it.
🤓 Miles & Points Trivia
Which of the following is a current transfer partner of Rove Miles?
🇯🇵 Japan Airlines (JAL)
🇶🇦 Qatar Airways
🇸🇬 Singapore Airlines
🇦🇪 Emirates

🏨 The 200,000-Point IHG Bonus Is Back - And It's the Best the Card Has Ever Offered
Let's start with the business card bonus that disappears and reappears like a comet - and right now it's back and brighter than ever.
Chase has brought back the 200,000-point welcome offer on the IHG One Rewards Premier Business card. This is the highest bonus this card has ever carried, and it had been missing from the market for a while. For context, IHG points are worth roughly half a cent each on average - but with the card's fourth-night-free benefit on award bookings, savvy redeemers can stretch that value significantly further.
The Annual Free Night Changes the Math Entirely
The $99 annual fee is where a lot of people pause - but it shouldn't be a dealbreaker. The card comes with an annual free night certificate (capped at 40,000 points), which alone is worth $80-$150 depending on where you redeem it. Stack that with the fourth-night-free perk on award stays of three or more nights, and you're getting real value year after year, not just at signup.
If you've been building toward a multi-night stay at an InterContinental or Kimpton property, 200,000 points is a serious head start. Use our IHG points value calculator to see what your redemption could be worth before you book.

✈️ JetBlue's Pilots Are Suing to Kill the United Deal
Remember when we talked about JetBlue's expanding partnership with United - the Blue Sky deal that was supposed to be one of the airline's biggest commercial bets of the year? Well, it just got considerably more complicated. JetBlue's pilots have filed a lawsuit arguing the partnership goes far beyond a normal interline arrangement and crosses into territory their contract was specifically written to prevent.
More Than a Codeshare - That's the Argument
The pilots' union isn't just posturing here. The suit argues that Blue Sky involves the kind of operational cooperation that their collective bargaining agreement was designed to restrict - things like revenue sharing, scheduling alignment, and passenger connectivity that blur the line between two separate carriers and something closer to a merger-lite arrangement.
If the union wins the right to fully arbitrate its grievance, JetBlue could be forced to strip back key elements of the deal entirely. That would be a significant blow for an airline that has been leaning on the United partnership as a path toward network relevance it can't build on its own right now.
This one is worth watching closely. For all our ongoing JetBlue and United Airlines coverage on our tag pages.
🏨 Rove Miles Has a Hotel Trick Nobody Else Offers
There's a pattern that almost every points traveler knows: book through a third party, lose your hotel points and elite night credit. It's one of the most consistent rules in the loyalty world. Rove Miles appears to be breaking it.
Spend Points, Still Earn Status Credit
Here's the setup: when you redeem Rove points for certain hotel stays, you're essentially booking a prepaid rate - but in a way that still registers as a qualifying stay with the hotel's own loyalty program. That means you can walk away from the booking having burned your Rove points AND earned hotel points, elite night credit, and on-property status benefits like upgrades and breakfast.
For anyone chasing elite status - or trying to protect nights they've already accumulated - this is a genuinely unusual feature. Most award bookings and third-party platforms strip that credit out entirely. The 50% transfer bonus to Japan Airlines that Rove currently offers is the headline, but this hotel trick may be the more durable long-term value play.
Rove Miles is building a reputation fast. You can sign up and explore the platform at our Rove Miles referral link, and see all our Rove coverage at our Rove Miles tag page.
Burn Rove points on a hotel stay - and still earn the hotel's own points, elite nights, and status perks. That's not how this is supposed to work, and yet here we are.
🚨 TSA Chaos Just Got a New Plot Twist
If you've been following the TSA staffing situation - we covered callout rates hitting 55% at some airports earlier this month - you'll know the government shutdown has created a genuine airport security crisis across the country. Now the situation has taken a stranger turn.
ICE Agents at Checkpoints - Legal or Not?
President Trump announced this weekend that ICE agents would begin working TSA checkpoints starting today. The problem, according to federal law experts, is that airport security screening is a specific, credentialed function that ICE officers are not trained or authorized to perform. Moving immigration agents into checkpoint roles doesn't just raise legal questions - it could actually weaken the security layer those checkpoints are designed to provide.
Meanwhile, airports using private screeners - rather than TSA - have reportedly been holding up better through the shutdown, which is adding fuel to an already heated debate about how America handles airport security long-term.
If you're flying in the next few days, check wait times at your departure airport using FlightQueue - and budget extra time regardless of which airport you're departing from. This situation is not resolved.
🚨 Deal Alert: Avianca LifeMiles Transfer Bonus Ends This Week
Two things worth flagging before they disappear: the Amex Membership Rewards to Avianca LifeMiles 15% transfer bonus runs out on March 28th - that's this coming Saturday. LifeMiles can be a useful currency for Star Alliance redemptions, and with a 160% buy bonus also available (today is technically the last day on that one), there's a window here to either earn or stack LifeMiles cheaply.
Also still running through March 31st: Chase Ultimate Rewards transfers to British Airways, Iberia, and Aer Lingus Avios all carry a 20% bonus. If you've been sitting on Chase points and have an Avios redemption in mind, this week is the time to move them. See all active transfer bonuses at our transfer bonuses page.
Chase to British Airways Avios: +20% bonus, ends March 31st. Amex to Avianca LifeMiles: +15% bonus, ends March 28th. Both windows close this week.

✈️ United Bilt Palladium Card Is Earning Over 3X on Everything
One more story that caught attention this weekend: a detailed look at the new Bilt Palladium card suggests it's consistently outperforming expectations in real-world spending. When you factor in rent payments (which earn points at no cost), Bilt Cash redemptions, and frequent transfer bonuses, the effective earning rate across all purchases has been tracking above 3 points per dollar for some users.
Bilt points transfer to a strong roster of airline and hotel partners, and the program runs regular transfer bonuses that can boost the value further. It's not a card for everyone - it requires understanding how to maximize Bilt's ecosystem - but for the right person, it's become one of the more powerful everyday earning tools on the market.
🌎 Trivia Reveal
