✈️ JetBlue Isn't Going Bankrupt - But The Rumor Isn't Crazy
Fake bankruptcy filings are circulating about JetBlue right now, and the story is gaining traction fast. The airline has confirmed it has no plans to file - but here's the uncomfortable truth: the rumor is spreading because JetBlue's actual situation gives it legs.
Six Years of Losses and a Clock That's Still Ticking
JetBlue has posted losses for six consecutive years. The airline is carrying billions in debt, fuel costs are rising, and its much-publicized turnaround plan is still very much a work in progress. When a fake story about bankruptcy lands and half the industry nods along, that tells you something.
For points holders, TrueBlue is worth watching. The program's points don't expire as long as you have account activity every 12 months - so make sure you're keeping that account alive. If you're looking to top up your TrueBlue balance, JetBlue is currently offering a 125% bonus when you buy points through June 10th, which works out to about 1.43 cents per point.
There's also a 100,000-point limited-time offer on the JetBlue Premier Card worth knowing about if you're a frequent flyer with the airline. And Amex is running a 10% transfer bonus to JetBlue through May 11th - that window closes Sunday, so if you've been sitting on Membership Rewards points and want to move some to TrueBlue, this weekend is the moment.

🏨 Lufthansa Admits Its First Class Double Bed Pricing Was Broken
Lufthansa launched its Allegris first class product last year on new Airbus A350-900s, and it genuinely is a significant upgrade over the old product. One suite even features a double bed - rare in commercial aviation. But from day one, the pricing for that double bed seat never made sense, and now Lufthansa has quietly admitted defeat.
From One Extreme to the Other
The original approach to monetizing the double bed was convoluted at best - it created a pricing structure that confused even seasoned premium cabin travelers. Lufthansa has now reversed course, which is a welcome move, even if the new approach swings hard in the other direction.
If Lufthansa first class is on your radar, this is worth tracking. Lufthansa Miles & More is also running a 60% bonus when you buy miles through May 31st, at around 1.28 cents per mile. And if you're planning to search for Lufthansa award availability, our Award Travel Finder tracks first class and business class seats across all the major programs daily.

✈️ Aeroplan Members Are Earning More Points From Hertz Than From Flights
Air Canada's new Aeroplan-Hertz partnership is genuinely unusual, and the math is hard to ignore. Most Aeroplan members are now earning more points by renting a car from Hertz than they earn per dollar flying Air Canada. Let that sink in for a second.
Status Credits Too - Not Just Points
The partnership isn't just about point accumulation. Aeroplan members also earn Hertz elite status from rentals AND credits that count toward Air Canada elite status. For road warriors who rent cars regularly, this is a meaningful stacking opportunity - and it costs you nothing to take advantage of since Aeroplan membership is free.
Air Canada Aeroplan points are genuinely versatile - you can use them on Star Alliance partners including Lufthansa, United, and Singapore Airlines. Air Canada is also currently running a 30% discount on purchased Aeroplan points through May 13th, bringing the price to about 1.9 cents per mile. Not the lowest you'll ever see, but paired with earning bonuses from ground partners, Aeroplan is having a strong month.

🏨 The Standard Brussels Is Now a World of Hyatt Property
This one is a genuine win for Hyatt loyalists. The Standard, Brussels - which opened last year - has officially integrated into World of Hyatt. You can now earn and redeem Hyatt points there, starting immediately.
The Standard brand is known for its design-forward, personality-driven hotels that feel very different from the standard (pun intended) Hyatt portfolio. Hyatt acquired Standard International back in 2024, and Brussels is the first to go fully live on points.
If you're heading to Europe and want to use Hyatt points, this adds a genuinely interesting option in a city that's often overlooked compared to Paris or Amsterdam. Chase Ultimate Rewards is running a 20% transfer bonus to Air France KLM Flying Blue through May 27th, which is worth knowing about if Brussels is your gateway and you want to keep your options flexible across programs.
Worth noting: Chase is also running a massive 65% transfer bonus to Marriott Bonvoy through May 15th. If you have Chase points and have been eyeing a Marriott stay, this is one of the better transfer promotions we've seen all year. Run the numbers with our Chase Points Calculator before you pull the trigger.

💡 Bilt's Best-Kept Secret: 4 Million Members Without the Card
Everyone talks about the Bilt Mastercard, but here's something most people don't realize - more than 4 million Bilt members don't actually have a Bilt credit card. And they're still earning transferable points.
Rent, Dining, Lyft, Walgreens, and More
Bilt's cardless members can earn transferable points through dining partners, Lyft rides, Walgreens purchases, fitness memberships, travel bookings, shopping portals, GoPuff, parking, and housing-related rewards. The points transfer to the same airline and hotel partners as the card - including Hyatt, United, American, and Alaska.
If you've been waiting to apply for the card but still want to start accumulating points, joining Bilt's program costs nothing. And if you're ready to add the card itself, it's still one of the few cards that earns points on rent with no transaction fee - which is legitimately rare.
🚨 Deal Alert: Marriott Bonvoy Welcome Bonuses at Highest-Ever Levels - Some End Soon
The three Marriott credit cards from American Express are currently showing their highest-ever welcome bonuses, but the window is closing on some of them. If you've been sitting on the fence about a Marriott card, this is the moment to check your eligibility and run the math.
On top of the welcome bonus opportunity, that 65% Chase-to-Marriott transfer bonus through May 15th means existing Chase cardholders can stretch their points significantly further right now. A 65% bonus is not something you see every day - we track all live transfer bonuses at milesandpointsdaily.com/transfer-bonuses if you want to see the full picture.
🌎 Trivia Reveal
The answer is Air Canada Aeroplan. 🇨🇦
Most Aeroplan members now earn more points renting from Hertz than they do flying Air Canada - and the new partnership also layers in Hertz elite status and Air Canada elite status credits. It's the kind of ground-side earning that most people overlook entirely, which makes it a genuine edge for those who know about it.
Most Aeroplan members earn more points from a Hertz rental than from a flight with Air Canada. The ground game is officially better than the air game.
💬 Quick Question
Do you actively use ground partners - car rentals, dining, shopping portals - to top up your points balance? Or do you mostly earn on flights and credit card spend? Hit reply and let me know - I'm genuinely curious how people are building their balances, and I read every response.
