✈️ Miles & Points Daily

  • 💳 Credit Card News: United Business Card offers 100,000 miles + 2,000 status points after $5,000 spend

  • ✈️ Transfer News: Rove becomes the only U.S. transfer partner to SAS EuroBonus, with a 20% bonus through April 8

  • 🛒 Buy Points: JetBlue TrueBlue running up to 125% bonus on purchased points through April 18

  • 🚨 Route Alert: American Airlines pushes Philadelphia-Doha suspension out to May 7 amid ongoing Middle East airspace closures

Something quietly shifted in the loyalty world this week - and if you fly to Scandinavia or care about Star Alliance redemptions, you'll want to pay attention.

Rove just added SAS EuroBonus as a 1:1 transfer partner, making it the only U.S.-based program with a direct path to SAS miles. And they didn't stop there - they've built live award availability search right into the platform, and stacked a 20% transfer bonus on top through April 8. That's a genuinely rare combination.

We've also got a 100K United business card offer that's hard to ignore, JetBlue running the most aggressive buy points promo I've seen in a while, and American Airlines quietly extending yet another Middle East suspension. Let's get into it.

🤓 Miles & Points Trivia

Which U.S.-based points currency just became the only program with a direct 1:1 transfer path to SAS EuroBonus?

  • 💳 Chase Ultimate Rewards

  • 🏦 Capital One Miles

  • 💰 Rove Miles

  • ✈️ Citi ThankYou Points

The answer is chillin' near the bottom of today's newsletter... keep scrolling. 👇

✈️ Rove Just Opened the Only Door to SAS EuroBonus

This one is worth stopping on. Rove Miles - the points currency built around the Rove credit card - just added SAS EuroBonus as a 1:1 transfer partner. That makes Rove the only U.S. program with a direct transfer path to SAS, full stop.

Live Award Search Changes Everything

What makes this more interesting than a typical transfer partner announcement is the live award availability search built directly into the Rove platform. You can see actual SAS award space before you commit to transferring - which is exactly how it should work, but rarely does.

The transfer ratio is 1:1, and through April 8, you'll get a 20% bonus on every transfer. So 10,000 Rove Miles becomes 12,000 SAS EuroBonus points. SAS is a Star Alliance member, which means those points open up award flights on United, Lufthansa, Singapore Airlines, and more.

If you've been building Rove Miles and have been looking for a reason to use them, this is it. The 20% bonus window closes April 8, so you have a few weeks to plan.

Rove's 20% transfer bonus to SAS EuroBonus runs through April 8 - and it's the only direct U.S. transfer path to SAS available right now.

You can track this and all active transfer bonuses on our transfer bonuses page.

💳 The United Business Card Just Got Very Interesting

The United Business Card's best offer is back on the table: 100,000 bonus miles plus 2,000 Premier Qualifying Points after $5,000 in purchases within the first three months. If you've been on the fence about this card, this is the moment.

The Annual Fee Math Works Out

The card carries a $150 annual fee, but you get a $125 United travel credit, two United Club one-time passes, and additional PQP earning on everyday spend. Run the numbers and that $150 fee effectively costs you $25 out of pocket in year one - before you factor in the 100K bonus.

The 2,000 PQP is worth noting too. For anyone chasing status with United, that's a meaningful head start toward Premier Silver (which requires 4,000 PQP). You can use our United Miles Calculator to see exactly what 100,000 United miles are worth for your specific routes.

Also worth mentioning: United MileagePlus miles are currently on sale with a 95% bonus through March 30 if you want to top up before a redemption. That's at 1.93 cents per mile - check our buy points promotions page for the full breakdown.

🚨 Deal Alert: JetBlue's 125% Buy Points Bonus

JetBlue TrueBlue is running one of the most aggressive buy points promotions I've tracked in a while. Through April 18, certain accounts can purchase points with up to a 125% bonus - bringing the cost down to approximately 1.43 cents per TrueBlue point.

When Buying Points Makes Sense Here

TrueBlue points are worth around 1.3-1.5 cents each on average, so at 1.43 cents you're roughly at parity - which means this is best used when you're just short of an award and need to top up, rather than buying in bulk speculatively.

The important caveat: the 125% figure is targeted, meaning not every account will see the same offer. Log into your JetBlue TrueBlue account to check what bonus you've been offered before buying. Use our JetBlue Points Calculator to run the math on whether the price makes sense for your specific redemption.

This promotion runs through April 18 - and it's one of several strong buy points offers active right now across multiple programs.

✈️ American's Middle East Routes Keep Getting Pushed Back

American Airlines has extended its Middle East suspensions again - and this time the timeline is stretching further than many expected. The Philadelphia to Doha route is now pushed to May 7, and the New York JFK to Tel Aviv service won't resume until at least April 23.

Iran's Airspace Keeps the Region Largely Grounded

The reason is straightforward: Iran's recent attacks have rendered much of the region's airspace effectively unusable for commercial carriers. American Airlines isn't the only airline affected, but these are significant long-haul routes that matter for award redemptions - particularly for anyone planning to use AAdvantage miles for travel to or through the region.

If you have award or revenue tickets booked on either of these routes, contact American directly to understand your rebooking options. And if you're planning a Middle East trip later this year, it's worth keeping a close eye on whether these resumption dates hold - given the pattern so far, further extensions are possible.

Award Travel Finder is tracking Middle East award availability across all programs if you want to monitor options through alternative carriers in the meantime.

💳 Chase Transfer Bonuses Worth Stacking Right Now

Speaking of transfer bonuses - if you're sitting on Chase Ultimate Rewards points, there are three Avios-related transfer bonuses running simultaneously that deserve your attention.

Through March 31, Chase is offering a 20% transfer bonus to British Airways Avios, Iberia Avios, and Aer Lingus Avios - all at the same time. That means 10,000 Chase points becomes 12,000 Avios in any of those programs. Since all three Avios programs are part of the IAG family and can share Avios, this is a meaningful opportunity to stock up.

The BA Reward Avios Flight Finder is the best place to check availability before you transfer, so you can see exactly what those points unlock before committing.

There's also a 30% Chase to Wyndham transfer bonus running through March 31, which is solid if you're targeting Wyndham award stays. UK readers - Smart With Points has been tracking the Avios transfer landscape in detail if you want the full picture from a UK perspective.

🏨 The Hilton Program - Honest Assessment for 2026

Hilton Honors has taken some hits in recent years and the frequent traveler community has been vocal about it. The program has seen points drop roughly 15-20% in value, the maximum price for award nights has more than doubled, and there's now a new top-tier status requiring $18,000 in annual spending.

The Case For Still Caring About Hilton Honors

That said, Hilton still has a case. The sheer number of Hilton properties worldwide - across brands from Hampton Inn to Waldorf Astoria - means it's often the most accessible program for earning stays. The Amex Hilton cards also remain genuinely strong earners, particularly for those who can maximize the Hilton Surpass or Aspire card benefits.

Use our Hilton Points Calculator to see what your current balance is actually worth before planning your next redemption - the numbers might surprise you in either direction.

For all things Hilton Honors, we keep a running archive of stories and updates at our Hilton Honors coverage page.

🌎 Trivia Reveal

The answer is... Rove Miles! As of this week, Rove Miles is the only U.S.-based points program with a direct 1:1 transfer path to SAS EuroBonus. No other U.S. transferable points currency - not Chase, Amex, Citi, or Capital One - has a direct transfer to SAS. That's what makes the 20% bonus through April 8 particularly notable for anyone with Star Alliance redemptions in mind.
