125,000 points. A free night certificate. And $100 back on airfare. All on a $95-a-year card.

That's the Marriott Bonvoy Boundless welcome offer that quietly landed this week, and it's genuinely one of the more compelling mid-tier hotel card offers I've seen in a while. When you stack it on top of the current Chase-to-Marriott transfer bonus running at 55%, the math gets interesting fast.

Let's get into it.

🤓 Miles & Points Trivia

The Marriott Bonvoy Boundless is issued by Chase. But Marriott also has cards issued by another major bank. Which bank issues the other Marriott co-branded cards?

  • 🏦 Citibank

  • 🏦 Capital One

  • 🏦 American Express

  • 🏦 Barclays

The answer is waiting near the bottom of today's newsletter... keep scrolling. 👇

💳 The Marriott Boundless Just Got Its Best Offer Ever

125K Points, a Free Night, and $100 Back on Airfare

The Marriott Bonvoy Boundless card is currently offering its strongest welcome package in recent memory. New cardholders can earn 125,000 Marriott Bonvoy points after hitting the spending requirement, plus a free night certificate (valid at properties up to 50,000 points per night), and up to $100 back on airline purchases.

All of that for a $95 annual fee. To put that in context, 125,000 Marriott points can cover multiple nights at mid-tier properties or - with some smart redemption strategy - a single night at a high-end Marriott. The free night certificate alone can push this offer well past $200 in value if you use it right.

The ongoing card perks also hold up well: an annual free night award at renewal, 15 elite night credits per calendar year (enough to reach Silver Elite automatically), and automatic Silver Elite status. For the fee, that's a solid package even after the welcome bonus is gone.

If you've been sitting on the fence about a Marriott card, and this is your first Chase Marriott product, the Boundless is the one to start with. Not sure if you're eligible for the Chase Marriott bonus? Check the eligibility tool before you apply.

💰 Stack the Boundless Bonus With Chase's 55% Transfer Play

Every 100 Chase Points Becomes 155 Marriott Points Until June 30

Here's where things get genuinely interesting. Right now, Chase Ultimate Rewards is running a 55% transfer bonus to Marriott Bonvoy through June 30 - that's in 24 days. If you already have Chase points sitting in a Sapphire Reserve, Sapphire Preferred, or Ink card, those points are currently worth significantly more when moved to Marriott than they would be on a typical day.

To be clear: I'm not suggesting you blindly dump all your Chase points into Marriott Bonvoy. Chase points are among the most flexible currencies in the hobby, and Marriott points have a reputation for requiring large quantities to unlock serious value. But if you have a specific redemption in mind - a hotel stay already priced out, a specific property you're targeting - then this bonus is worth running the numbers on.

Amex Membership Rewards is also offering a 20% bonus to Marriott Bonvoy through the same June 30 deadline, so if you're an Amex cardmember with MR points, you have a parallel play available. The full picture of active transfer bonuses is tracked at our transfer bonuses page.

Use our Marriott points calculator to check whether the math works for your specific redemption before transferring.

🚨 Deal Alert: Rove Miles to Aeroplan 25% Bonus Ends Tonight

This one is genuinely time-sensitive. The Rove Miles to Air Canada Aeroplan transfer bonus at 25% expires today. If you have Rove Miles sitting in your account and Aeroplan is part of your award strategy, you need to move on this before midnight.

Aeroplan is one of the best-value programs in the hobby - it prices awards on a zone-based chart, partners with Star Alliance, and has no fuel surcharges on most partners. A 25% bonus on a transfer is meaningful for anyone close to a redemption threshold.

The Rove Miles to Aeroplan 25% bonus ends today. If you're close to a redemption threshold, this is worth acting on before it's gone.

✈️ Colorado's Credit Card Fee Bill Just Got Vetoed - Here's What It Means for Your Rewards

The Interchange Fee Fight That Nearly Hit 5 Million Cardholders

Colorado Governor Jared Polis vetoed Senate Bill 26-134 this week - a bill that would have prohibited credit card interchange fees from being charged on the tax and tip portions of transactions in the state. On the surface, that sounds like a consumer protection measure. In practice, it would have forced card issuers to fundamentally restructure how rewards programs work in Colorado.

Interchange fees are the engine that funds credit card rewards. When a merchant is charged a processing fee on your transaction, a portion of that flows back into the rewards ecosystem - covering points, miles, cash back, and card perks. Laws that restrict interchange fees at the state level tend to push issuers toward watering down rewards or restricting program availability in affected states.

Colorado would have been the first state to enact this specific type of restriction. The veto stops that from happening - at least for now. But the broader legislative trend is worth watching. Similar bills have been proposed in other states, and the federal Credit Card Competition Act is still being discussed in Congress. Your rewards are safer today than they were yesterday, but the pressure on interchange fee structures is not going away.

🏨 PS Just Opened a Private Airport Terminal at DFW - At $1,295 a Pop

Skip the Terminal Entirely - If You Can Afford To

PS - the luxury private airport facility company that started at LAX in 2017 and expanded to Atlanta in 2023 - just opened its third location at Dallas Fort Worth. The concept is simple: pay a premium, bypass the main terminal entirely, and board your commercial flight through a private facility with dedicated security lanes, chauffeur transfers to the plane, and lounge-style amenities.

You can check current DFW security wait times before your next trip to decide how much that premium might be worth.

This isn't a miles play - PS doesn't accept points for payment. But it's a signal of where premium airport experiences are heading, especially as traditional airline lounges get increasingly crowded.

🚨 Deal Alert: Buy JetBlue Points at 125% Bonus - Ends Wednesday

JetBlue is running a 125% bonus on purchased TrueBlue points right now at 1.43 cents per point - and this ends this Wednesday, June 10. That's one of the strongest buy-points offers currently live across any program. If you're a JetBlue flyer sitting just short of a redemption threshold, this is worth a look.

The full breakdown of what's live right now is tracked at our buy points promotions page.

🌎 Trivia Reveal

The answer is American Express. Marriott's card portfolio is split between two issuers: Chase handles the Boundless, Bold, and Premier Plus cards (personal and business), while Amex issues the Marriott Bonvoy Bevy, Brilliant, and Business cards. It's one of the more unusual dual-issuer arrangements in the credit card world, and it's worth knowing which bank issued the card you already have - because Chase's 5/24 rule and Amex's once-per-lifetime bonus rules both apply differently across that divide.

💬 Quick Question

Are you actively targeting a Marriott redemption right now, or are you more of a "transfer to airlines only" kind of points collector? I'm genuinely curious how people think about hotel points versus airline miles these days - hit reply and let me know. I read every response.

The Boundless offer is the real headline today. A triple-stacked welcome package on a $95 card doesn't come around often, and with the Chase transfer bonus running simultaneously, the timing is unusually good for anyone building toward a Marriott stay. Don't sleep on the Aeroplan transfer window either - that one closes tonight.
